We wanted to learn more about what it is like to work in social media and decided to start featuring an interview every Monday for the next coming few weeks. The idea is to learn more about the business from the influencers themselves. Most of the questions will be based on the influencer’s thoughts on different collaborations and why they started working in this industry to begin with. We’ll also try to cover what their personal journeys looked like.
For this week’s interview, we sat down with Denise Nordén! Denise used to blog for Fitnessguru but today you'll find her on ISI LIFE (www.denisenorden.com). On Instagram, she has more than 24,000 followers that she interacts with daily.
I have been blogging since 2007 and since I’ve always had a diary, the step to a digital version wasn’t so far off.
What’s a fun project for you? What kind of collaborations does your target group like and what engages them?
I like collaborations that push me. For example, if I have to take extra detailed pictures or photograph in a certain setting. My followers seem to love projects related to workouts and physical training.
To find a profile that matches your brand and not focus all the effort on finding influencers with a lot of followers. Chances are high that a campaign will fail if the profile doesn’t fit your brand since the followers won't be interested in your products.
Many think that we work for free. Companies can’t forget that it can be a full-time job keeping up with your social media and we expect to be paid for it. No one works for free!
I like people that have a clear idea of what they're doing and that put an effort into their pictures and content. Janni Delér is especially good when it comes to great content!
I wake up, check my email and my Instagram account, and then I walk my dogs. After that, I eat breakfast and then I go to work - I work as a marketing assistant at Butterick's. After working for 8 hours I drive home and start working on my social media. I take pictures, write content, and when I’m done I workout before spending time with friends and my partner.
I will probably work a lot this summer but I do look forward to all the summer nights in Halmstad and on beautiful Tylösand. I’m also hoping to make it to a few festivals and concerts before the summer is over.
